Biography
Michael Coolen (aka Crisis Hotline) is a filmmaker, musician and artist from Halifax Nova Scotia, Canada. During the covid-19 pandemic Michael began collaborating on the submission based web show "Sewer City TV" with other like minded artists. In 2021 Michael began work on his first documentary 1000% Japan USA before working on Bald Terror (2022), and his directorial debut VERMIN (2026). He produces music and visual art under the alias Crisis Hotline. In 2024 he released his second album titled "God Burned Down My House," and the EP "Pre-rendered Dream." Michael is a freelance artist and has done work for A2B2, Popular Front and Million Dollar Extreme.
