Juanito is diagnosed with a heart condition, further complicating their situation. Don Lucho, the owner of the town's seafood restaurant, tells the children an old urban legend about "TĂ©tano," an ancient race car that used to beat everyone and win every race but stopped competing by the pilot's choice. The only solution to pay off all the debts and save Juanito's life with an operation is to convince TĂ©tano's pilot to race again.
