Life plays a very cruel trick on Laurita Arteaga. Born to loving, wealthy parents, she is separated from them while still a baby and forced to live in poverty for many years, never knowing her true identity.

Manuel, a young man with a lot of creativity in search of a better economic position, meets in a fortuitous way with Lucía, daughter of the businessman who can support his project. To be accepted by his possible father-in-law and be able to fulfill his dream of being a successful businessman, Manuel does everything to win over Lucía. Without realizing it, he goes through funny situations in which he finds himself immersed in terrorist actions against the government. Manuel must decide whether to continue with those "commitments" or have a clear conscience according to his principles.
