Biography
Carolina Contreras Issa is a Bolivian actress and filmmaker. Born and raised in Santa Cruz, Bolivia, in 2009 Carolina's family moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Carolina won runner-up in the Okotoks filmmaking mentorship program with her short film "Breathe," which she wrote, produced, edited, and starred in. Most recently, her film "Prince's Prints" won the "Best Comedy" award at the Okotoks Film Festival's 48-hour filmmaking challenge, demonstrating her multifaceted talents behind and in front of the camera. Noticing how little representation Latinos & other visible minorities have on TV & Film, Carolina's goal is to bring those stories to the forefront by creating & working on projects that promote and encourage diversity in race, sexual orientation, and religion.
