After her companion discovers her true nature, Elena fights to survive against this future's dark portrait personified, testing the limits of her own existence and her humanity.

Little Elena lives in 1940s Mexico. At her young age, she discovers what love is, but she's surrounded by hostile adults who don't understand her feelings. Elena faces a dilemma, and with courage and the help of a stranger, she manages to save herself from the punishment that awaits her.
