Biography
Sergio Benvenuto (Naples, 1948) is an Italian psychoanalyst, philosopher, and writer. He was a Senior Researcher at the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC) of the CNR in Rome. He is Professor Emeritus of Psychoanalysis at the International Institute of Depth Psychology in Kiev (twinned with the University of Nice). He founded (in 1995) and edited the European Journal of Psychoanalysis.
Known For

Leonardo, a 19-year-old student, leaves his hometown of Palermo to study economics in London. He soon grows restless and enrolls at the University of Siena to study literature before dropping out of school to study classics on his own. The following year, he travels to Turin where he meets a man who will help him on his journey of self-discovery.
Nineteen

When his father dies, a Cuban man who was raised in the United States, learns that he was not abandoned by his mother but illegally taken out of Cuba. He goes back to the island and is helped in his search by a cousin and a taxi driver.
