Life goes on as usual at the Goetgebuer children's farm, where everyone works hard. But all that comes to an end when Aunt Zeunia realizes that her days are numbered and she wants to see her niece from Paris one last time before she dies. The three unmarried brothers and their sister do not understand why their aunt, the daughter of their deceased sister who lived in Paris, wants to meet her again after more than ten years. Cordula fears that her aunt will give away her entire fortune to her niece. The three brothers think it won't be such a big deal and are looking forward to their niece's arrival. When she arrives, Leontine turns out to be a beautiful young woman. In no time at all, she turns her three uncles' heads, much to the annoyance of her aunt Cordula.
Ten huize Goetgebuer

The film actually consists of five films. They are separate from each other, have their own themes, and tell the story of a character. The first part is a parody of the Brothers Grimm fairy tale. Drugs & Co is about final-year student Elsje Vermeersch. To supplement her thesis on drug addiction, she makes a film about the fight against drugs. In the third part, 'Den vélo', Peter plays Polidor Van Den Berge, a man who has devoted almost his entire life to cycling. In 'Bij den boer', farming life in the past is compared with farming life today. The final part, 'Groen vingers', revolves around Tuur Blomme, a gardener through and through.

Astaire Dierickx, a bachelor and bon vivant, goes to a hospital for observation. He has a great time with his roommate Wimke and the young nurses and can't resist teasing Sister Alegonde, the head nurse of the clinic, from time to time. Astaire feels at home there until the doctor comes to tell him the painful news that he has lung cancer and only a few months to live. From the moment his family finds out, they gather around his sickbed to prevent his fortune from slipping through their fingers. However, Astaire has other, much grander plans for his fortune.

In Paris, a heated argument between Leontine and her father causes Leontine to pack her bags and travel to Nevele. Although her three uncles welcome her with open arms, they cannot prevent Aunt Cordula from having her way. Their Parisian niece can stay in Nevele if she works for room and board. In Nevele, Leontine gets to know the villagers and their daily activities. The often narrow-minded ideas of the rural population are at odds with the rather frivolous mindset of the Parisian twenty-something. The clash of the two worlds provides countless amusing moments in the film. When Cupid visits the Goetgebuer children's farm and sets his sights on Aunt Cordula, hilarious scenes ensue.
Aan de oevers van de Leie
Everything continues as usual on the Goetgebuer family farm until rumors start circulating in the village that the belligerent Germans want to march through Belgium to France. Shortly afterwards, Leontine's husband is called up to the front. During the war, the Goetgebuer children are forced to take in two wounded German soldiers. Although Leontine is the central character in the film, it is once again the three brothers and Aunt Cordula who steal the show.
Wafelijzers en schietgeweren

Flanders, 1935. When the antichrist Frans Martens senses that his days are numbered, he sends his daughter Virginie to Father Moens with a request to administer the last rites. The ultra-conservative Moens refuses, but under pressure from his ecclesiastical superior, he has to agree to the man's request, even though Moens believes that God cannot punish the man enough for his way of life. When Frans Martens dies a few days later, Moens refuses to bury him because his daughter does not have the money to pay for the funeral service. However, the curate, Lucas Vanoverschelde, believes that Virginie should not be punished for her father's lifestyle and gives her the money needed to bury her father. The young, naive curate Vanoverschelde does not realize that his actions will change his life forever.
