In 1995, a young Catholic woman at the end of noviciate finds herself shaken by the flashbacks of a long gone first love.

Muối – a girl who lost her mother at birth and was raised with her father's love on the island commune of Thiềng Liềng. The turning point for the father and daughter begins when Muối grows up and decides to move to the city to study and work, dreaming of changing her life to help her father.
