Biography
Amanda is a social entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in technology, social development, and entrepreneurship. After earning a Computer Science degree from Curtin University of Technology in Western Australia, she co-founded Markoding, a non-profit organization focused on equipping underprivileged youth with 21st-century skills, and Skilvul, an education platform for digital skills. Amanda is dedicated to championing gender equality in STEM through her initiative, Perempuan Inovasi, and received the 2022 Power of Radiance Award from Clé de Peau Beauté for her contributions to STEM education for girls in Indonesia. Recognizing the power of storytelling to shift mindsets about gender equality, Amanda studied screenwriting, and her first short film, Ambang Batas (LOOSE), screened at numerous national and international festivals, including the Bali International Film Festival and the Tampere Film Festival. Her second short film, Salam Dahsyat Fantastis Luar Biasa (Amazing Fantastic Extraordinary People), was selected as one of Layar Indonesiana's 10 Selected Projects.
