Story is about the difficult fate of a boy, who went through the mother's death, poverty and famine. Movie helps to understand Tyvan culture and lifestyle.
The Tuvan shaman constantly receives visitors. He tells fortunes using huvaanak stones, just like his ancestors hundreds of years before him. And next to the shaman is a ghost who whispers the whole truth about people. The shaman smooths out information, selects the right words, and even keeps silent about something, so as not to make things worse for people. But after one visitor, events begin to take a different course.
The film "Uryankhaitsy" is a film almanac consisting of three short stories and tells the modern stories of the peoples of Altai, Tuva, Khakassia, and Yakutia. The film was shot in the Republics of Altai, Tuva, Khakassia, and Yakutia. Among the film's main themes are winter and family. How the harsh and monumental winters of Tuva, Yakutia, and Altai strengthen their people. The short stories tell family stories and bear the symbolic titles "Ada" (Father), "Ene" (Mother), and "Kyys" (Daughter). They remind us of our roots and teach us to see simple human stories as reflections of a greater shared destiny.
