Biography
Iggy Ibáñez is a Filmmaker from Santiago, Chile, currently studying film at Universidad del Desarrollo. They have credits in many student short films, in roles such as director, director of photography, and editor. With “Selective Fire” they made their debut as director, presenting a documentary short film about the heritage of violence present within the Chilean military, from Pinochet’s dictatorship until today.

From its old age, a SIG-510 rifle tells the story of its military service as a weapon used by the Chilean army. It tells of his military training, its frustrated desire to serve his country, and the memories it has of the Coup d'état that occurred in 1973.
Selective Fire
After seeing her ex-wife at the grocery store, 66 year old Brandy struggles to hide the symptoms of her recently diagnosed fibromyalgia. As she attempts to maintain a facade of self-sufficiency, the encounter forces Brandy to confront both her desire to project an image of independence and the repressed feelings she still holds for her ex partner.
