Fyodor, Pavel and Mikhail are three friends in pre-war Leningrad. Fyodor works as a tuner at the conservatory, Mikhail studies there in the bayan and accordion class. The story reflects real events and people who gave their lives for the future of the Soviet Motherland during the Great Patriotic War, defending Leningrad during the difficult months of the blockade.

The Builder club was once a successful team, and its owner dreamed that he would have a chance to outgrow his championship and claim a higher rank in the KHL. But the hockey players and coaches got into a game crisis, the team found itself at the bottom of the standings and could not get out of there. Now it seems easier to close the club along with the arena — not believing in the success of the victories, the owner of the "Builder" appoints a figure skating coach as director. Now the salvation of the club depends on how much the ex-figure skater succeeds in uniting the players, connecting them with the fans, who are considered the sixth player on the ice, and becoming the club's "seventh player" who has achieved success at the managerial table.

Vanya is an 18-year-old graduate of an orphanage. By the time he reaches adulthood, his voice has not broken, it remains childish. With this difficult quality, he will have to go through socialization in society, overcome a conflict with his new family and meet his first love. Vanya faces a choice: change his voice or recognize his unique natural gift.

An orphanage resident, Nikita, flees justice to Moscow, where he meets Den, a rich orphan who offers Nikita a ticket to a better life in exchange for his friendship. Nikita agrees, not knowing what price he will have to pay for it.
