Alma, a theater assistant, is having a panic attack on the toilet when she discovers a black hole has opened up in the neighboring cubicle. Entranced by the whirling void, she finds herself sucked into several vignettes about the meaning of life.

A monster lady named Schmes' lives hidden in a basement, unbeknownst to the young couple in the house above her. Schmes' longs to be accepted as a member of the family and decides to enter their bedroom one night. But will they be able to accept a strange creature such as herself?
