Alejandra López Puebla

Catalan teenager Iona hates her mother, and she lets us know it right at the start of this short film, which she co-directed. She reads from her diaries to tell us about her early teens, against the backdrop of a rapid montage of her photographs and videos.

La Serena is Chile's colonial capital. Its churches and statues stand majestically over the crushed Diaguita identity, but this identity lives on and emerges in the 2019 uprising, as well as in the old images of the city (when we take a stroll around it).
