Shirin, a 15-year-old Muslim girl, has been living a solitary life with her ailing mother for the past two years. One day, her mother passes away, leaving her to reconnect with her father, with whom she has had no contact for a long time, to handle the funeral according to Islamic customs. Once the ceremonies are over, Shirin must face living with her father in their old home and find answers for her own life.

Mon, a 16 years old boy raised by his grandmother, reaches a turning point when she can no longer afford his education. Hoping for a new beginning, he contacts his father who has been absent for over 15 years. But instead of the warmth of family, Mon is confronted with the emptiness of what it truly means to be father and son.
