Biography
Born in San Diego and raised in Baja California Mexico, Emilia has always been extremely passionate in the art filmmaking, more specifically in directing and screenwriting. During her undergraduate at San Diego State University, Emilia has directed and written numerous short student films such as "Say Cheese," "Seamus," "Beaten," and most recently her thesis film "Los Ayeres de Hoy," which has been nominated and selected for numerous film festivals. Through her films, Emilia hopes to inform audiences on diverse cultures, touch on themes of identity and self discovery, as well as represent Mexican, Chicano, and Latino communities. Most recently, she completed UCLA Professional Program with Emphasis in Directing, a graduate-level competitive admission program.
