In Northern Sweden, 1852, a new pastor and his family arrive in Kengis, a village riddled with disorder.

A young woman struggles to defend her Sámi heritage in a world where xenophobia is on the rise, climate change is threatening reindeer herding, and young people choose suicide in the face of collective desperation.

The film follows Sweden's minister of industry, Gunilla. The government has made the "worst deal in the country's history" and Gunilla claims that she alone bears the responsibility. Everyone knows it can't be true but what no one understands is why she's lying.

Inspired by true events. A 14-year-old girl reports that she was raped, but is not believed. The entire village turns against her and her family.
