Biography
An Egyptian journalist, translator, actor and theater director. He studied for a while at the Faculty of Commerce, then left and joined the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts. He traveled on a scientific mission in France and Britain in the early sixties. During his work in Egypt, he presented a large number of international plays on state theaters. He also presented the works of British playwright William Shakespeare in Arabic on the British Broadcasting Corporation since the seventies. He is best known for acting in several Egyptian series, including: On the Sidelines of the Prophet's Biography, Seven Faces of Truth, Falling in Sabe' Well, and Qasim Amin. He passed away in early August 2014 at the age of 81.

While she jokes with him about a possible relationship, she is actually in love with Abu Siri, a strong and respected porter at the station who is struggling to unionize his fellow workers to combat their boss' exploitative and abusive treatment.
