Biography
Ernesto Valkez is a young filmmaker from Torreón, Coahuila. With a background in Ciencias de la Comunicación and a specialization in Comunicación Organizacional, he has stood out as a director, producer, and content creator from an early age. He graduated from the cinematography diploma program at Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), the Escuela de Artes Escénicas de la UAdeC, and the TRAP MAI VIDIO workshop by Terregal Films. His short film "Mi Razón" (2023) was featured in the Muestra de Cine Coahuila and in tributes to Carmen Salinas and Magda Guzmán. In 2024, he co-directed "Contacto Cero" alongside Jorge V. Cortés. The short film earned second place at the concurso Interuniversitario Torreón en Corto and was an official selection at the Muestra de Cine Coahuila. He has collaborated with production companies such as TLW, Noa Fílmica, and Plasma en Corto, taking on roles including director, assistant director, script supervisor, and video assist.
