This documentary follows contestants competing for the title of "World's Most Beautiful Transsexual." The pageant takes place in Las Vegas, where the finalists will be offered parts in a Vegas show. Going beyond the glitz of the competition itself, filmmaker Jeremy Stanford joins six hopefuls as they return to their hometowns and families, and the film reveals the prejudice they faced in their youth and the part the pageant plays in asserting their transgender identities.

A documentary love story following Puerto Rican transgender activist Maria Roman and her fiancé, Jason Taylorson, as they prepare to become the first trans/cis couple to wed at Los Angeles’ historic St. John's Cathedral in 2019. Set against the backdrop of societal stigma, the film explores their bond, Maria’s decades-long advocacy, and the larger fight for visibility, inclusion, and love within the trans community.
