Oraz Orazov

Two former orphans tied their fate with the mafia. One died and the other was arrested in the Central Asian town.

An Eastern shah and his vizier have no heirs. One day, they go hunting, intending to shoot a roe deer. At the last moment, the vizier notices that the doe was about to give birth, and the shah decides to spare the animal. That same night, the shah and the vizier have the same dream: it is as if the doe has foretold to them that both would soon have heirs.

Young investigator leads cases related to drug trafficking, while his boss, connected to the underworld, seeks his arrest.

Once in an orphanage, nine-year-old Oraz finds a friend in the person of teacher Dovlat. In the hungry post-war years, Dovlat does everything to prevent children from suffering. One day, having caught the cook Izyumgul stealing, he brings trouble upon himself: in order to avoid being put on trial, Izyumgul spreads slanderous rumors about the teacher. Dovlat goes to prison, and the cook becomes the director of the orphanage. Forty years pass, and Oraz is invited to Izyumgul’s anniversary...
