Biography
Sabrina Chebbi chose the cinematographic tool as a way to transform the violence produced by racist clichés broadcast in the mass media and many films about so-called "immigration" people. Documentary cinema is above all a way to regain power over these performances. In 2017 she made her first self-taught film under the name of Sabrina Thawra, Les coups de leurs privilèges. In 2018, she completed a Master's degree in audiovisual and creative documentary film production at the Université Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 with the Ateliers Varan, supervised by Marie-Claude Treilhou and Jean-Nöel Christiani. In this context, she makes the film Décalé décalé. In 2020, she directed the short film Constellation of the Self.
