Biography
Luís Gaspar (Lisbon, May 19, 1936) is a Portuguese filmmaker who stopped working in the late 1970s. He began working in the field of advertising film, after attending a course in England promoted, among other organizations, by the London School of Film Technics. On his return to Portugal, he was involved in the production of around two thousand advertising films. He is an announcer. He worked for radio for many years and also worked on the educational film With the Carnation Revolution, he joined the production team at the Portuguese Film Institute, where he produced and directed a program of six documentaries on the Agrarian Reform.

The film revives the name of a show staged in 1977, the same year the film was produced, which brought together an impressive cast of singers, poets, and composers in a moment of reflection and evocation of the revolutionary process. With music and lyrics by artists such as José Mário Branco, Zeca Afonso, Paulo de Carvalho, and Fernando Tordo, and performances by Carlos Paredes, Tonicha, Ary dos Santos, Adriano Correia de Oliveira, and the Mineiros de Aljustrel.
