Biography
Matthew Francis Hess (born September 10, 1995) is an American filmmaker, actor, and producer known for his commitment to authentic storytelling and independent spirit. Matthew was born and raised just outside of Chicago, Illinois, where his foundational years instilled a deep appreciation for nature and family. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment that speaks to his enduring sense of discipline and dedication. He pursued studies in mass communication, earning his Associate's degree in 2018. Following graduation, he spent two years honing his artistic skills as a professional photographer. However, the unique challenges of the early pandemic period inspired a pivotal career shift towards filmmaking. He enrolled in the film program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, graduating in May 2023. After completing his studies, Matthew co-founded the indie production company, Pink Moose Productions, Matthew and his team successfully relocated Pink Moose Productions' operations to Los Angeles, California, in mid-2024. Matthew Francis Hess is fully immersed in the heart of the industry, actively pursuing roles in production, acting, and directing, working to bring unique vision to a broader audience.
