Known For

Ten perspectives on St. Petersburg at the beginning of 2024. Where does the “spirit of the city” still reside, here and now? Has it become nothing more than an empty tourist brand? Has it dissipated amid the bustle of the new century? Ten very different styles, methods, and genres combine in a cinematic suite that captures the pulse of Russia’s most deliberate city.
Pale Wind

The morning of 11-year-old Zakhar begins with the news of his grandfather's death. From that moment on, irreparable changes occur in him as well.
The Damp Ground

The classic sarcastic hit from West Side Story becomes increasingly distorted. Faces and clatter appear and over time all kinds of sound and image distortions, from hydrolysis to pixelation, become more and more intense and take over the entire image. But the more unbearable the cacophony becomes, the more coherent the whole thing becomes.
Projection

From emptiness, a geometric world unfolds, where figures and gestures become a system of signs. These symbols shape a map of space in which a person seeks to find their place.
