Biography
Callie Carpinteri is an LA based writer/director originally from South Florida. As a young, female filmmaker, Callie is passionate about telling complex, female driven stories that empower women and inspire conversation. She’s also committed to the representation of women both in front of and behind the camera. In 2023, Callie co-wrote and directed her first independent short, a coming-of-age comedic drama titled, “Dirty Towel,” which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Festival and that she is currently developing into a feature film.

A young woman, NATALIE (25), feels lost after her debilitating feelings of indecisiveness cause her to suffer greatly in her personal and work life. Seeing no other solution, Natalie visits an elusive institute known as M.I.C.A. that gives her a new technology - a chip in her head that will make decisions for her. Although it seems to be the perfect fix, Natalie soon realizes that disobeying the chip can lead to very dark consequences.
