Known For

A sex education film dedicated to all forms of human sexuality.
Freedom to Love

Rival gangs are fighting for control of Hamburg's notorious harbor district, spreading fear and terror in the process. In the streets, houses and clubs, the thriller shows the lives of a handful of people whose fates will be decided within 24 hours.
Unter den Dächern von St. Pauli

Educational film devoted mainly to understanding sexual behavior that deviates from the norm and circumstantially attempts to de-taboo human sexuality. The manuscript of the film, which uses a wealth of interviews, statements, charts and reportage elements, was written by the director of the Institute for Educational Psychology at the PH in West Berlin.
Du - Zwischenzeichen der Sexualität

The impact of new documents from the international conflict that shook the world is enormous. Never-before-seen footage has emerged for the first time from previously secret archives. The murderous encirclement battles in Russia, the Battle of Britain, and the heroic deeds of countless lone fighters in Potsdam complete the circle of horror, from the Polish campaign to the harrowing images of refugee treks in the winter of 1944/45.
Siegen oder sterben

Love Affair

After the death of her husband, Sarah gets caught up in the wheels of the "most sinful mile in the world," Hamburg's Kiez. In this ruthless machinery that produces nothing but violence, money and lust, the sensitive Sarah tries to adapt emotionlessly. It is a long and hard process of acclimation, but eventually the business of love becomes a profession for Sarah. The power of money holds her captive. And the more she succeeds in increasing her value in the milieu, the more she distances herself from her past bourgeois world - along with her concepts of love, decency and morality. An affair almost becomes her undoing. Sarah flees deeper into the labyrinth - onto the path of venal masochism. She becomes a whip-wielding dominatrix in the notorious Herbertstraße. Now the others are the victims, but Sarah almost loses her mind...

Die Alster, Perle der Großstadt

In German kitchens, over 7 billion eggs are cooked every year, more than 2.3 million tons of meat are consumed, 29 billion liters of milk are drunk and more and more fish is being eaten. But where does all this come from? Is the fish caught by a white-bearded captain with a crew of children? Does the chicken live on an idyllic farm with a rooster on the manure? And are pigs actually always happy and cows purple and colorful? The reality is different - a world full of battery hens, huge fish farms and slaughterhouses. Animals are production units - without a soul, without the right to a life. The main thing is cheap. This documentary provides unsparing insights into the depths of the factory farming industry and reveals the true origins of our food, free from suggestive advertising messages.
Ware Tier

German cinemas were flooded with sex education films in the 60s and 70s. What was shown in cinemas then and was meant seriously, is today rather unintentionally funny.
