A film in 5 segments. The first is about a trafficker who takes a German tourist to an illegal sex market in a working-class neighborhood. The second involves an elderly man courting a young adult film star. The third, a thief seduces a man's wife. The fourth involves an Italian immigrant in Germany who is fired and subsequently offered work as a porn actor. Finally the last segment involves a baron who convinces his wife into a swinging.

Gibbi Westgermany is the name of a former sailor with a Mick Jagger look—leather jacket over the bare chest—who roams the Hamburg neighborhood St. Pauli homeless. His destination is a snack bar in St. Pauli run by his mother. But it is not the safe haven he is looking for.

Dorothea, a 16-year-old bourgeois girl from Hamburg, plays with her friends of both sexes, imitating the production of adult movies. In the end, pretending to make sex-scenes is not satisfying enough, and with a street professional, Dorothea is initiated in hard sex.

Rival gangs are fighting for control of Hamburg's notorious harbor district, spreading fear and terror in the process. In the streets, houses and clubs, the thriller shows the lives of a handful of people whose fates will be decided within 24 hours.

And the more she succeeds in increasing her value in the milieu, the more she distances herself from her past bourgeois world - along with her concepts of love, decency and morality. An affair almost becomes her undoing. Sarah flees deeper into the labyrinth - onto the path of venal masochism. She becomes a whip-wielding dominatrix in the notorious Herbertstraße. Now the others are the victims, but Sarah almost loses her mind...
