The series goes into details of the events that Syria went through between the years 1955-1959, including the tripartite aggression against Egypt in 1956, the establishment of unity between Syria and Egypt, and the revolution against the monarchy in Iraq, through the Qishani neighborhood, where its people work as merchants, lawyers, doctors, intellectuals and other works.

The series tackles a number of negative contemporary social phenomena, shedding light on the challenges encountered by young people, like violence against children, poverty, homelessness, begging, slave trade, motherhood, family disintegration, and honor crimes.

The series follows the family of Al-Mallah and Khaldun: the former enjoys great influence, while the other belongs to a downtrodden class. The spark of the story erupts with Khaldun’s desire to rob the Al-Mallah family, which turns the matter into a war between them and a settling of scores about the shared past and present that unites them.

The film talks about the story of Zeina and Reem, two women struggling in Syria, they both cross paths with Yousef and his father in a series of events.

The fate of three women in wartime is united, each of whom is called Maryam and living at different times facing the war in its moral, social and brutal aspects, but each of them will not lose a life

Short feature film produced with the support of the European Union. The film deals with the story of a woman who gives birth to her child in exceptional circumstances where the birth is done with the help of her husband, because there are no other health conditions due to the siege imposed on their neighborhood. All that has performed a clear contrast between death by a sniper’s bullet and the birth of a new child with new hope of life.
