Alicia arrives at her parents’ house in A Pobra do Caramiñal, a coastal town in Galicia, to choose the clothes her mother will wear at the wake. There, she reunites with her sister Berta, who has just been released from the rehabilitation centre where she was staying.

Eduardo is a man who is starting to have trouble taking care of himself. At home he lives alone with an android whose only job is to make his life easier. Over time, Eduardo develops a close relationship with the robot, something he never achieved with his son Anxo. The old man projects onto the android the identity he wants for his son.
