The story revolves around a sports editor named (Hesham), who chooses to marry (Dina) without consulting his mother, who controls his father. Many problems occur when he moves to live near his family, due to his mother's interference in his life and her falling into disputes with his wife.
Based on Sonallah Ibrahim's celebrated novel, "Zaat" explores the social and political winds of change in Egypt starting from 1952, when the main character "Zaat" was born, all the way up to the present day.

A young guy who works in a bank and chases women all the time, visits one of the wizards one day; upon returning from that visit he acquires the ability to see the true nature of each person; when one the wealthy men approaches him to get a loan from the bank, he refuses but that he gets the young guy into many problems.
