Biography
Zachary Bakken is the Creative Director at So Good Productions, a filmmaking collective based out of Los Angeles, California, where he leads the creative development of film and digital media. He is best known for having written/produced the hit short film, "The Ant" (2025), which premiered at Screamfest Horror Film Festival in 2025. His pursuit of filmmaking arose through his passion for storytelling and his belief in the power of images. At age 14, Zach produced his first amateur short film, "Tomorrow" (2015), along with frequent collaborators and business partners Cameron Duncan and Ethan Nelson. Zach would continue this partnership far into the future and produce such professional indie projects as, "Welcome to Hollywood" (2022) and "How's Your Day Going" (2023), while still living in Colorado. Stemming from the success of their previous projects, Zach and the team would relocate to Los Angeles, California and further root themselves within the industry. When not in the writer's room, expect to find Zach developing narrative projects with Duncan, Nelson, and SGP newcomer, Jeff Steele.
