A sad and lonely donkey wanders through the desert, seeming to find no reason for its existence. One day he offers help to a couple of pilgrims who pass by with a child. Together, they face Roman patrols, sandstorms and many other pilgrims. They finally arrive safely at their destination. The donkey returns to the desert, but he still has a danger to face.

They play football. They laugh, they cry, they swim. They love. They witnessed the discovery of Brazil and are present in the conquests of unknown planets. They are not just snakes, they are also slugs. As Cobras is based on these characters created by writer Luís Fernando Veríssimo, published daily in Brazilian newspapers and, between one joke and another, a vignette that satirizes a well-known film distributor.
