Biography
Shin Okajima (岡島 真, b. September 16, 2005) is a Japanese-Filipino filmmaker and writer currently pursuing a degree in Broadcast Media and Multimedia Arts at Mapúa University. He began his career as a music scorer for Vision Media Production, contributing to films such as Timeout (2023), In Case You Miss It (2024), and Let’s Go Somewhere Else (2025), all of which have garnered local and international recognition. Under his own banner, Enchanted Karinderiya Production, Shin has directed, co-produced, and written several films. His debut short, Kamusta, Horseman (2025), was an official finalist in the Sinepiyu 17 FEU Film Festival, while his other productions have been featured in both local and international festivals. Shin was selected for the inaugural GMA Public Affairs Drama Concept Workshop, where he further explored his skill in storytelling and pitching under the guidance of industry pillars such as Erwin Caezar Bravo, JC Rubio, and National Artist Ricky Lee. His films explore the gray areas and unspoken struggles of human life, illuminating them through comedic, experimental, or romantic lenses.
