Yasutomo Chikuma

Tanaka, a man lives in the countryside, breaks into a game arcade with his friend Kato, rob the safe and runs away with the store owner's car. After straying on a highway route, he finally ends up a lonesome beach. A few days later, the idol group Momoiro Clover, visits the beach for their music video shoot, and find his car in the bush. The film takes its inspiration from a real-life case of a young man who kills himself after being involved in a violent robbery.

A young man, involved with a gang of hoodlum exploiting vulnerable elderly men to steal their retirement money, experiences social disenchantment, alienation and confusion mostly due to a lack of dreams and fulfillment of ambition.

Satomi, who quit her job, runs a grocery store run by her older sister, and meets a man waiting for her lover in front of the store. The two accidentally leave the store and talk while walking through the streets of Tokyo. Without knowing whether it is true that they are talking to each other, the two are slowly dragged along... .

Satoru belongs to the growing group of NEETs (‘not engaged in employment, education or training’). Hardly leaving his room in his mother’s house and without any real contact to the outside world, he lives a secluded life. When his mother’s friend Tosawa tries to help him to break out of his inner prison, things do not get any easier for Satoru.
