In the summer of revolt 1968, student Leobardo López Aretche captured the protests in Mexico City, and the state’s brutal response, up close – and like many of his subjects and fellow comrades, would pay a high price for his audacity. Fifty years later, his movie is no longer a secret.

Documentary about the events of October 2, 1968, in which military leaders and key documents are identified to highlight the mechanisms used by the repressive forces of the government against the student protests.

Set in 1968, two students, Marcos and Esperanza, debate whether or not they should attend the protest taking place at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas in Tlatelolco. Despite the warnings, for them, this is a fight for freedom and against oppression.
