Nicholas Sanjaya was born in DKI Jakarta City on June 7, 2004. He is the only child of Liem Jannie and Tjiu Wendy Suryanto. He was educated at the Bhinneka Tunggal Ika School in Jakarta. In high school, he won 1st place in the competition to make a creative video with the theme of August 17. From junior high school he had the desire to study at the film faculty and in the end he chose to study at Bina Nusantara University, Alam Sutera. So far he has participated in 17 short film productions; Director, Producer, Assistant director, Art director, Script Continuity. This movie entitled 炒麵 Chǎomiàn is his first movie as a director and
