Mihkkal Hætta

Muorra is a short film that takes you on a journey through the lands of Sápmi, where the raw power inherent in the areas is put to the forefront. The contact between man and land has become less and less, and with this film Hætta wants to show that the link between the two is not as far away as one might think.

An exploration of the personal and historical struggles of the Sámi people, navigating imprisonment, protests, and surreal encounters, providing a unique insight into one man's extraordinary journey.

In an alternative Sámi universe, the primordial knowledge of colonialism has been removed. The journey to the heart of the land is exciting, meditative and without a shred of hurry.
