Konstantin Shabaldin

In the evening, a writer meets a boy crying in the park, who tells him that while playing a game he gave his word of honour to guard a gunpowder storage shed and that he couldn't leave his post. The writer helps the boy to find an honourable way out of the situation.

The protagonist, betrayed by relatives many years ago, now himself, after adultery, turns out to be a traitor in the eyes of his wife and children. Betrayal has its evolution.
