On October 13, 1972, Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, chartered to take a rugby team to Chile, crashes into a glacier in the heart of the Andes.

As the brothers prepare, Guido under his father's pressure, Gael balancing studies with his mother's support. This clash of styles and talents builds toward an audition that will ultimately bring reconciliation and harmony between them.
