Due to the untimely death of her husband, Jelena spends the whole year in a tangle of feelings of endless sadness and guilty conscience. This depressing routine is broken one day by a visit from her mother, Andja, who brings a pot of her famous chicken soup.

Young ostentatious intellectual, Stanisa (Stan), leaves his family and girlfriend due to their cognitive immaturity, as he sees it. He finds a new home in an abandoned house in the wilderness where other intellectuals such as him live.

At the end of VHS era, two teenage cinephiles will on the same day not only experience their first falling in love, but also far gloomier circumstances they have never been aware of in turbulent Yugoslavia already on her deathbed.

After many years of separation, young men Kolje and Vorda, finally reunite, sparking the long-forgotten spark of love and friendship they have been missing whilst away. However, their decision to spend one crazy summer night in Podgorica will unwillingly bring them back into the world of organized crime and gang violence, where friendships and love are tested, identities shattered and betrayal and lies are abundant.
