Six military musicians flee into a forest after an attack on their parade. In the chaos that follows, a wounded colleague is left for dead in the woods. Slowly, the unit disintegrates as each tries to escape from enemy territory and from each other.

A requiem for the disappearing habit of smoking, which has inspired many artists and thinkers over the ages. The film commemorates the death of a symbol and those who perished enjoying it, with subtle historical e cinematographic references.

In interlacing stories, Emmie, Amina and Anna are mobilised by a call for kindness and action in a context of social and environmental decadence. The whole trama is concentrated in a little pub where The Burners play their new song, Be Kind.

A lottery draw with a live audience is played out according to the rhythm of magical realism. There are no clearly identified characters or explicit script in the narrative. An abstract drama defined by chance.
