Biography
Mychal George Thompson (born January 30, 1955) is a Bahamian sports commentator and former professional basketball player. In the 1978 NBA draft, he was picked first overall as a center out of the University of Minnesota by the Portland Trail Blazers. His twelve-year NBA career included winning two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers during their "Showtime" era. He has been married to Julie Thompson since 1987. They have three children, including All-Star shooting guard and four-time NBA champion Klay Thompson.
