Biography
Jorge Espíndola Carvajal (Duitama, 2000) is a Colombian director, screenwriter, cinematographer and producer. In 2019 he made studies in Camera for Film in Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) in Medellín, developing projects like: “UN DÍA DE NARCOLEPSIA”, “CUANDO LAS EMOCIONES SE ENCUENTRAN” in 2019; “LA PERSECUSIÓN”, “ONÍRICO”, “ANGÉLICA” in 2020; and “PÍO” in 2021, having official selections in Colombian festivals. In 2022 he studied the filmmaking conservatory in Escuela Nacional de Cine (ENACC) in Bogotá, directing and producing several films including “ALTAGRACIA”, “¡ES HORA DE JUGAR!” in 2023; and "BAKATÁ" in 2024, all having recognition in worldwide festivals, including nominations as best director and winning awards in cinematography.
