Spain, 1938. A woman is quietly planting seeds in her garden when two armed soldiers appear. Before being detained, she hides some of the seeds in her pocket.

Maria travels with her friend Zoe to a village in Mallorca during the winter. During those days away from home, what seemed like a peaceful getaway takes a strange turn. 'Eixam' observes a small part of adolescence through discomfort, desire, and fear.

Rita is a little 9-year-old girl who lives immersed in her own little world, full of illusions and innocence. After secretly hearing her parents say that they may have to leave their home behind forever, without really understanding the situation, Rita will find herself in the need to defend and protect her little world to prevent what she has heard from happening.
