Following the failed prison escape depicted in the film 'The Hole' (Le Trou by Jacques Becker, 1960), its protagonist finds himself locked in solitary confinement. An evocation of the world of crime and prison that surrounded the work and life of José Giovanni, author of the novel that inspired Becker's essential film.
