During the period of civil war, in the countryside of Nepal, a curious boy follows his mother to his uncle's house. In this poetic journey, he witnesses various group of people trying to pursue liberation in their own ways.

Madan, a 55-year-old immigrant professor in the U.S., faces personal turmoil after a domestic dispute results in job loss and widespread gossip. Haunted by estrangement from his family and a deep yearning for his deceased parents, he finds a fleeting sense of solace in a dream visitation on a new moon night—just before his mysterious disappearance.
