In 1976, as Argentina descends into violence and chaos, a world-weary English teacher regains his compassion for others thanks to an unlikely friendship with a penguin.

A young drug addict who has lost touch with her rich family hits rock bottom when she sells her new-born baby to child traffickers. She soon regrets her decision and finds the courage and strength to get him back. To do so, she must follow a trail into the woods and find an eerie house where the old lady she met, her albino servant and a girl with a strange gait, all live together. Nothing could have prepared her for the horror she is about to discover.

The story of how four characters’ lives become intertwined as they fight to recover their faith in themselves and in love.

Lea and her mother Júlia decide to spend a weekend in the countryside to disconnect from their busy urban lives. Frustrated by a crisis with her current partner, Lea will argue with her mother in an acrimonious way, thus breaking the purpose of the trip. But under the light of a lunar eclipse and with the help of an old family friend, mother and daughter manage to reunite.

Kim, an immigrant who is part of the LGBT community, goes to Spain alone. When she finds work, she experiences discrimination because of race and gender.
