Biography
Joaquín Martínez is a Uruguayan director of short films and music videos. He works across film, photography, and graphic design, and has experience as a director, editor, and image post-production artist. In 2024, he won the Best National Short Film Award at the Festival Internacional de Escuelas de Cine (FIEC) with Pascualina (2023). He also participated in the selection of the Festival Cinematográfico Internacional del Uruguay (FCIU) with Paulino (2025) and in the Festival Detour with the music video Poppy (2024). His most recent project is the independent short film S22, currently in post-production.
