Biography
Animation director living and working in Vienna. From 2014, she studied graphics and printmaking at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna. In 2018, she studied painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon on an Erasmus scholarship. Following her studies, she began working independently in printmaking, drawing, painting, writing, and animation. Rothaug’s short films such as Metanoia (2021), Swallowed (2022), and The Missing Spots (2023), have received national and international recognition.

A little leopard born without spots faces the challenge of fitting in. In the end he learns to accept himself just the way he is.
The Missing Spots
A frame-by-frame animated, drawn invitation to participate in a game of imagination. It is an attempt, to discover the blurred lines between dreaming and being awake and an approach to realities.
